CHICAGO CHAUFFEUR SERVICES

When a Chicago Chauffeur Service Makes Sense

LimoRSVP provides Chicago chauffeur services for trips where timing, coordination, and presentation matter. Airport transfers, corporate itineraries, group movements, events, and hourly reservations are planned around the confirmed schedule and trip details.

Four things usually tip a trip into this category: a fixed time you cannot miss, a schedule that involves other people, passengers and luggage that have to travel together, or an arrival that is part of an event rather than incidental to it. If none of those apply and you simply need a ride across town, our general private car service in Chicago page is the better starting point.

Airport Transfers

When flight timing, terminal logistics, and pickup instructions need to be handled in advance — not figured out after landing.

Corporate Travel

When schedules involve multiple stops, client-facing travel, or coordination across assistants, executives, and teams.

Group Transportation

When moving multiple passengers requires planning around luggage, vehicle selection, and synchronized arrivals.

Events & Evenings

When transportation is part of the overall timeline and needs to align with venues, schedules, and return planning.

01 / AIRPORT ARRIVALS

Airport Transfers (O’Hare, Midway & Private Aviation)

Airport transportation works best when everything is planned before you arrive.

Each pickup is scheduled around the flight, the terminal or FBO, and the reservation details, so the plan is not being worked out after landing. When flight details are provided, flight information is used to coordinate pickup timing around the actual arrival and the confirmed airport pickup procedure.

What’s handled in advance

  • Pickup timing coordinated with flight information, once flight details are supplied
  • Curbside or meet-and-greet, where available for the airport and reservation
  • Applicable pickup instructions confirmed for the trip in advance

Common use cases

  • Business travel with fixed schedules
  • Early morning or late-night flights
  • Private aviation and FBO pickups

Terminal-level detail lives on the airport pages: O’Hare limo service and Midway limo service.

02 / CORPORATE ITINERARIES

Corporate Transportation

Business travel requires consistency across every trip — not just a single ride.

Executives and teams are supported with itinerary-based transportation for meeting schedules, client visits, and mid-day stops. For an active reservation, itinerary changes can be communicated through LimoRSVP’s reservation and dispatch process. Changes remain subject to the confirmed reservation, timing, vehicle availability, and operating conditions.

How service is managed

  • Pre-planned itineraries for meetings and site visits
  • Multi-stop routing planned as one itinerary
  • Ongoing coordination for repeat travel

Typically used for

  • Executive assistants managing travel logistics
  • Client pickups and hosted visits
  • Teams working within tight schedules

03 / GROUP PLANNING

Group Transportation (Sprinter / SUV Options)

Group transportation is decided before the day of service, not on it.

Vehicle selection, pickup sequence, and routing are planned in advance so the group can travel together rather than waiting at a curb with luggage for a second vehicle. Passenger count and luggage count are the two details that determine everything else, so they should be as accurate as you can make them.

Best for

  • Group airport arrivals
  • Corporate teams traveling together
  • Weddings and multi-stop events

GROUP TRANSPORTATION / HOW IT IS COORDINATED

What’s coordinated

  1. Vehicle selection based on passengers and luggage
  2. Pickup sequencing and timing windows
  3. Central communication for schedule updates

04 / EVENT TIMELINES

Special Events (Weddings, Concerts & Sporting Events)

For events, transportation has to follow the timeline — not interrupt it.

Arrival timing, pickup locations, and the return leg are planned in advance, so less has to be coordinated during the event itself. Return transportation should be planned before the event, especially when the ending time may change.

What’s included

  1. Timeline-based scheduling built around the event, not around the vehicle
  2. Venue-aware pickup planning
  3. Return trip planning or standby, depending on how predictable the end time is

Common scenarios

  • Weddings and formal events
  • Concerts and sporting events
  • Evenings out with multiple stops

05 / MULTI-CITY COORDINATION

Worldwide Transportation

When an itinerary extends beyond Chicago, coordination becomes the harder part of the job.

Service in other cities is arranged through a managed network, with one point of contact and one itinerary instead of a different booking in every market. Vehicle availability and local pickup details vary by city, so those specifics are confirmed with you as the itinerary is built.

One point of contact. One itinerary.

How it works

  • Centralized booking and confirmations
  • Coordinated service across locations
  • One itinerary for multi-city travel

Used for

  • Frequent business travel
  • Multi-city trips
  • Clients who need consistent coordination outside Chicago

06 / FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES

Hourly Chauffeur Service (As-Directed)

Some days can’t be reduced to a pickup and a drop-off.

Hourly service reserves a vehicle and chauffeur for a booked service period and can be appropriate for multi-stop schedules, waiting time, or an itinerary with uncertain timing. Changes during service remain subject to the reservation terms, vehicle and chauffeur availability, time booked, and applicable charges. It is usually what people mean when they say they need a car “for the day.”

How hourly service works

  • The vehicle and chauffeur are reserved for a booked service period, not a single trip
  • Stop changes during service can be requested, subject to time booked and availability
  • Waiting between stops is planned as part of the hourly booking, per the reservation terms
  • Changes during service are coordinated through LimoRSVP’s reservation and dispatch process

Reserve hourly service

WHEN HOURLY SERVICE FITS

Best for

  • Days of meetings or site visits with an uncertain end time
  • Evenings with several stops where the order may shift
  • Waiting through an event rather than sending the vehicle away and re-dispatching it
  • Roadshows, client hosting, and any itinerary where the last address isn’t known at booking

CHOOSE THE RIGHT BOOKING FORMAT

Point-to-point or hourly?

If you can name the final destination when you book, point-to-point is usually the simpler choice. If you’d be guessing, book hourly and let the schedule breathe.

BEFORE YOU RESERVE

Common Questions

Practical details on choosing a service, requesting a quote, airport pickups, and scheduling changes.

How do I know which service to request?

Start with whatever is fixing the schedule. A flight means airport transportation. A meeting calendar means corporate transportation. A passenger and luggage count that has to move together means group transportation. A venue with a start and end time means event or wedding transportation. If the trip spans more than one of those, send the whole itinerary and it will be planned as a single job rather than separate bookings.

What do you need from me to quote a trip?

Provide the date, pickup time, pickup and drop-off addresses, passenger count, luggage count, any additional stops, and whether a return trip is included. For airport trips, add the flight number and the airline, terminal, or FBO if you know it. For events, add the start and end times. For a group, the passenger and luggage counts determine the vehicle, so approximate numbers will produce an approximate quote.

Should I choose curbside or meet-and-greet at the airport?

Curbside and meet-and-greet are pickup options that may be available depending on the airport and reservation. The applicable procedure and pickup instructions are confirmed for the trip. Meet-and-greet may be useful for hosted travelers, unfamiliar airports, international arrivals, or passengers who need additional assistance. Details for each airport are available on our airport transportation page.

What happens if my flight is delayed or my meeting runs long?

When flight details are provided, flight information is used to coordinate pickup timing around the actual arrival and the confirmed pickup procedure. For other itinerary changes, contact LimoRSVP as soon as possible so the reservation team can coordinate the update. Changes remain subject to the reservation and availability. If the schedule is expected to remain flexible, hourly service may be the better booking format.

How do I know which vehicle my group needs?

Give us the passenger count and luggage count and let us select the appropriate vehicle. Groups are sized using both numbers together. Luggage is what most often requires a larger vehicle than the headcount suggests, and the choice also depends on whether everyone must travel in one vehicle or can split between vehicles.

Do you handle pickups in the suburbs or outside Chicago?

Yes. Chicago and the North Shore suburbs are core service areas. See our North Shore limo service page for local pickup context. City-to-city trips by road are handled as long-distance service, and itineraries with legs in other cities are coordinated as worldwide transportation, where vehicle availability and local details vary by city.
